Samsung 55NU7100 is one of the latest 4K Smart Tv in2018. It comes to replace the MU7000 but does not show major design changes or features.
Below we talk about calibrating this tv or at least set a better picture. These settings work on all NU7100 sizes (49, 55 and 65 inches).

Best picture settings Samsung 55NU7100
First, disable all settings in the Image / Eco Solution menu.
Then set the Picture mode to Movie ( for TV and movies).
The image format will be left automatically or 16: 9.
Backlight – Adjust Backlight somewhere at 22-23 or slightly higher for very bright rooms.
Brightness – set it to 0 (if necessary, you can increase this value very little).
Now adjust Contrast to 45 and Sharpness – reduce the value to 0.
Color – leave the value at 50 and Tenta – leave G50/G50.

From Expert Settings, you must turn off the Digital Clear View and also deactivate Auto Motion Plus Settings.
The color tone should be Warm 2 and Color Space to Auto.

Turn off and Contrast Enhancer.
Set Gamma at 1 for best results.

These are the optimal settings for a good image when watching movies on Samsung NU7100.

I have completed all the ..Movie adjustments mentioned above, but I can’t achieve a clear picture.slight out of clarity-focus,and to me not quit bright enough. Can you possibly advise, the TV is new.
Emi says
Hi.
SD or HD signal?
Brian Smith says
I too am having this issue. Brand new Tv with hd signal and everything seems a little fuzzy or not quite clear enough.
Riv says
If you are getting issues with standard def content then try turning off Digital Clean View, Auto Motion Plus, and Contrast Enhancer. (Should remove any immage processing that could cause problems. You can adjust the auto motion plus settings to try different motion interpolation results.

I have the 40″ of this TV. Tried these settings along with various others. Cartoons and everything are fine but there are some skin tones that have this orange tint to them. Any other settings I could try and fix it?
Emi says
Hi.
You may try this :
Settings → Picture → Expert Settings → Color Tone → Select the Color Tone – Set it to Warm 1
Also, on Color Space – try custom, and adjust until you find the right tint. You can reset it any time you want if you don’t like the result.
Thanks.
DC says
I agree – Movie mode seems to make the picture a little blurry.
Frank says
Sharpen set to 0 will still show this blurry effect. You can change this setting for crisper image.
Benjamin says
So this TV dont upscale any content to 4k right?
J says
Yes to native of panel
Pierluigi says
As Carla says , ‘ve 40″ version and even with Standard color mode (not Warm 1 or Warm 2) some skin too warm.
(with TV trasmission)
Al seems top be ok with PLEX or Amazon Prime Video
