Samsung UHD KU6072 picture and game settings

Samsung 40KU6072 is a middle class 4K Tv, which has a decent price and nice specifications.

If you want to get the best picture settings for Samsung 40KU6072 or to set up a correct game mode, you must do the following steps:

Best picture settings (calibration) for Samsung 40KU6072

Picture mode: for best results, set picture mode to Movie. Is accurate in terms of colors gamut accuracy and greyscale.

Picture size: 16:9 aspect ratio with Fit to Screen set to auto

Now go to Expert Settings and do the following:

Backlight: set it to 15
Brightness: set the brightness to 45
Contrast: best results at a value of 85 (best for watching movies) to 90 
Sharpness: 0
Color: 50
Tint(G/R): G50 / R50
Apply Picture Settings: All Sources (you can use these settings for most purposes)
Digital Clean View: Off (On for low quality content)

Auto Motion Plus Settings (for games): Off

Auto Motion Plus Settings (for movies): set to Custom, then Judder Reduction 0 and Led Clear Motion off

Dynamic Contrast: Off

HDMI Black Level: Auto
Color Tone: Warm2 for movies, or Warm1 for games
White Balance: 2 points, and as shown in picture below (for offset):

RGB Only Mode : off

Colour space : Custom, and modify settings for red/green/blue :

Colour red settings :  Red -47/ Green- 0/ Blue -4

Colour green settings :  Red -12/ Green- 52/ Blue -4

Colour blue settings :  Red -0/ Green- 7/ Blue -50

For gamers, go to Special Viewing Mode and set the Game Mode on if you need the lowest input lag ( around 20 miliseconds). If yout don’t set Game Mode to ON, you’ll have around 30ms input lag.
