CES 2017 hosted some of the most amazing gadgets and concepts that are about to be launched in the near time.
Side by side with famous TV brands which showcased their models, we’ve got a surprising entry. One of the thinnest TVs ever produced was presented by known phone producer Xiaomi, the leading name on the Asian market.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4 boasts a frame that’s just 4.9 mm thick, 30% thinner than an iPhone. Looking directly from the side, the TV is almost invisible. Along with an extreme design, Xiaomi Mi TV 4 brings another upgrade. Going further than classic Smart TV, Xiaomi installed Patch Wall – an artificial intelligence software.

Patch Wall provides app and TV series suggestions based on user’s preferences. Thus, we’re dealing not with a very fit TV, but also a very smart one.
Furthermore, Xiaomi adopts a modular design for Mi TV 4. This means the sound card and motherboard come with detachable modules, allowing for future upgrades on single components. Samsung had a similar approach some time ago, allowing upgrades on CPU and other internal components.
We have to see whether Xiaomi will manage to gain market share despite the efforts of large TV brands such as Samsung or LG, or whether it will be able to strongly attack the European market.
